What activities are included?

English & Sailing
SailingStudents have English lessons with the other students each weekday morning. The sailing lessons are held in the afternoons from Monday to Friday. The 2012 Olympic sailing events will be held at a sailing centre in Weymouth, and our sailing lessons are held at that centre. Lessons are held in a safe environment with professional instructors.

All equipment is provided by the school, including wetsuits and buoyancy aids. Students must be able to swim at least 25 metres and they must wear buoyancy aids at all times when on the water. If the weather is too windy, alternative water sports activities will be arranged or the sessions postponed and held on another day.

At the end of the course the students will receive a Royal Yachting Association Certificate of at least stage one in the Young Sailors' Scheme.

In the evenings and at weekends the students on the sailing course join the other students for their programme of activities. Top
